Öğe Faculty of Applied Sciences: Research Highlights: 2021-2023(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi / Istanbul Gelisim University, 2023) İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Bilimler FakültesiPREFACE Dear Students, Aristotle, who lived in Ancient Greece about 2500 years ago and who, according to many researchers, is one of the most influential thinkers in the known history of humanity, has influenced and continues to influence humanity until today with his ideas. Aristotle's other contribution to humanity, as well as his thoughts on various subjects, is the school he founded and the teaching methods he adopted there. In Aristotle's school Lykeum, which is the first example of modern high schools, students learnt at the theoretical level where abstract subjects were discussed in the mornings, while in the afternoons or evenings they had more practical and concrete lessons. It can be said that this approach adopted by Aristotle in his school, supported by contemporary content and the latest technologies, forms the basis of the educational philosophy of our Faculty today. The goal of the Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Applied Sciences (FoAS) is to provide you, the student, with the tools needed to produce professionally by enhancing your professional abilities and skills through applied courses, internship practices completed in labs and workshops, as well as theoretical (conceptual / theoretical) courses in our education and training contents. The main motivation of our understanding in education is to have all kinds of applications and equipment during your education period so that you can learn the professional knowledge, skills and competence you need under the roof of our faculty and be ready for the sectoral life. We have the unwavering conviction that you, our distinguished students, who combine skills and competences with the drive to produce together, teamwork, and working discipline, will increase awareness in your respective professions with the applied education you acquire in our Faculty. Our faculty, faculty management, academic and administrative staff will always continue to be a light in the "DEVELOPMENT" journey of our valuable students; Who adopted reason and science as a guide in their lives, Who developed communication and social skills, Who are sensitive to social problems, have a strong ethical understanding, Who think and act universally without breaking away from national values, And who adopt the understanding of environmental protection and sustainability. Best regards… Prof. Dr. Kamil KAYA FoAS DeanÖğe Uygulamalı Bilimler Fakültesi: Öne Çıkanlar: 2021-2023(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi / Istanbul Gelisim University, 2023) İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Bilimler FakültesiÖNSÖZ Sevgili Öğrencilerimiz, Yaklaşık 2500 yıl kadar önce Antik Yunan’da yaşamış ve pek çok araştırmacıya göre insanlığın bilinen tarihinde en etkili birkaç düşünürden biri olan Aristoteles, ortaya koyduğu düşünceleriyle günümüze kadar insanlığı etkilemiş ve etkilemeye de devam etmektedir. Aristoteles'in çeşitli konularda ortaya koyduğu düşünceleri kadar insanlığa diğer bir katkısı da kurduğu okul ve orada benimsediği öğretim yöntemleridir. Çağımız liselerinin ilk örneği olan Aristoteles'in okulu Lykeum’da sabahları öğrenciler soyut konuların tartışıldığı teorik düzeyde öğrenim görürken öğleden sonraları veya akşamları ise daha uygulamalı ve somut dersler görmüşlerdir. Aristoteles'in okulunda benimsediği bu yaklaşımın çağdaş içerikler ve en yeni teknolojilerle desteklenmiş olarak bugün Fakültemizin eğitim öğretim felsefesinin temelini oluşturduğu söylenebilir. İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Bilimler Fakültesi (UBF) olarak, eğitim-öğretim içeriklerimizde teorik (kavramsal/kuramsal) dersler yanında laboratuvarlarda ve atölyelerde gerçekleştirilen uygulamalı dersler ile staj uygulamalarıyla siz öğrencilerimizin mesleki beceri ve yetkinliklerini geliştirerek “mesleki üretim” yapmanızı sağlamayı amaçlıyoruz. Fakültemiz çatısı altında ihtiyaç duyduğunuz mesleki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinliği işin mutfağında öğrenerek sektörel yaşama hazır olmanız için her türlü uygulama ve donanıma öğretim süreleriniz içinde sahip olmanız, eğitim öğretimde benimsediğimiz anlayışımızın temel motivasyonudur. Birlikte üretme arzusu, ekip ruhu ve çalışma disipliniyle beceri ve yetkinlikleri birleştiren siz değerli öğrencilerimizin Fakültemizde aldığınız uygulamalı eğitim ile kendi alanlarınızda farkındalık oluşturacağınıza dair sonsuz bir inanca sahibiz. Aklı ve bilimi yaşamlarında rehber edinmiş, İletişim ve sosyal becerileri gelişmiş, Toplumsal sorunlara duyarlı, Güçlü bir etik anlayışa sahip, Milli değerlerden kopmadan evrensel düşünen ve davranan, Çevre koruma ve sürdürülebilirlik anlayışını benimseyen, Siz değerli öğrencilerimizin “GELİŞİM” yolculuğunda Fakültemiz; yönetimi, akademik ve idari kadrosuyla her daim sizlere ışık olmaya devam edecektir.
