For nearly every country of the world, SMEs are essential, but especially in particular for those in developed countries and those with significant job challenges and the distribution of income (OECD, 2017). SMEs benefit from the low cost and sustainability of their production. In general, they use less costly local tools. Based on low labor expenses, the production and operating costs for small businesses are lower. SMEs can also be used best for custom production. The growth of the small and medium-scale industries leads to the supplies of manufactured goods, encouraging the creation of resources, growing indigenous entrepreneurial talent and skills, and creating employment(Kumar, 2006). SMEs are an industry kindergarten, mostly driven by personal ingenuity and innovation (Kaul, 2019). This sector has been granted the highest level of employment after agriculture, accordingly by the Development Commission of micro-small and medium-sized enterprises. The large number of employees supplied by SMEs plays a vital role in the reduction of poverty (OECD, 2004). The present investigation tried to analyze the sustainability of Small and Medium-sized Manufacturing Engineering Enterprises (SMMEEs) in India with the support of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and identified priority indicator of sustainability with global priority weightage and competitiveness of Manufacturing Engineering enterprises in India. © 2020, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc..
